Ben the Motor Industry Charity and the National Body Repair Association (NBRA) have come together in a joint effort to promote Mental Health and Wellbeing services to NBRA and VBRA commercial members across the sectors. The initiative will see a range of new communications to member organisations highlighting how they can access Bens services and gain support for both employees and their immediate families who may be in need of mental health and wellbeing support.

‘We’re delighted to be able to work together on promoting Ben’s Services to all of the NBRA family’ said Steve Pinchen from Ben ‘its never been more important to get the message across about the support Ben can provide to people struggling with their mental health and wellbeing’.

‘It’s a sad fact that Currently, 1 in 3 referrals of individuals contacting our helpline for support are from our corporate partners. Of these, 60% are initially connecting with us for support with their mental wellbeing This shows the importance of our partnerships with automotive industry employers and demonstrates how prominent mental health issues are in the Automotive industry. If you run a bodyshop with 10 employees, our figures show poor mental health could be costing you around £10,000- £15,000 a year’.

Michael Wicks from NBRA added ‘many of our members work for organisations who may not have the internal resources to support their employee’s mental health and wellbeing. Ben are a fantastic charity who have a wonderful track record of supporting the industry. We need to spread the message about the help that’s on offer over a range of issues and let them know that help is really just a phone call or a click away’.
