Dear Members,

I hope this message finds you well. It’s been some months since I stepped into my new role here at the NBRA/VBRA, and I realize that I haven’t kept you as updated as I should have about the team’s activities during this time.

Here’s a brief overview of what the team has been working on:

  • We’ve been diligently updating our website to ensure it provides an exceptional experience for both current and potential members. These changes are ongoing, and we’re committed to making sure it meets your needs.
  • You may have noticed our team sporting new branded clothing, making us easily identifiable at industry events and on your doorstep.
  • Our recent Christmas edition of “The Repairer Magazine” was well-received, and we hope you enjoyed it.
  • Our supplier membership continues to expand, offering a diverse range of services tailored to NBRA/VBRA members, from paint and diagnostics to body shop management systems and recruitment.
  • The Elite Truck and Van Standard initiative, led by Gerry Braddock, Tom Hudd, and our executive board, is gaining momentum and recognition within the UK commercial industry.
  • We’re actively engaged in various projects, including lobbying the government on EV recovery and collaborating with organisations like AutoRaise, School of Thought, and Thatcham to promote work experience and apprenticeships in our industry. We are also in dialog with Insurers and motor manufactures across wide and varied subjects.
  • Our 2024 Greener Body Shop Awards will take place on September 10th, 2024, at the Coventry Building Society Arena, where we’ll celebrate members’ achievements in sustainability and reducing carbon footprint.
  • Most importantly, we’re focused on growing our membership and making the NBRA/VBRA the best it can be.

Rest assured; we’re working diligently behind the scenes on your behalf. Thank you for being a part of this fantastic association. We truly value every one of you.

Look out for the next edition of “The Repairer Magazine” in your inboxes by the end of March. In the meantime, if you need to contact any of us, please visit the “Meet the Team” page on our website for our contact details.

Once again, thank you for your continued support,

Martyn Rowley
