IMI – LEVEL 1 AWARD IN ELECTRIC / HYBRID
VEHICLE AWARENESS
With the growing popularity of Hybrid Electric Vehicles, there is an increasing need for industry training on HEV Safety Awareness.
This qualification is designed to provide the candidate with a good
understanding of the hazards involved when operating and working around
Hybrid Electric Vehicles. Candidates will be given an introduction to the
knowledge, safe working practices and the precautions required to avoid
potential injury when near HEV.
These roles can include but are not exclusive to:
Non-technical roles, such as:
Managers
Vehicle Valeters
Parts Advisors
Windscreen Technicians
Sales and Aftersales Advisors
Event Staff
Vehicle Delivery Drivers
Vehicle Handover Staff
Also essential for the public sector service, first responders (for example,
members of the emergency services who may attend road traffic accidents
involving HEVs).
