As the National Body Repair Association (NBRA) continues to grow and welcome new associate members and partners, Martyn Rowley and the team are on the lookout for new strategic partners to help support NBRA’s members and offer new insights, perspectives and skills – especially in the field of electric vehicles (EVs) – which are expected to make up 80% of all new car sales by 2030.
The latest addition to NBRA’s list of supplier partners is Chorley-based credit hire company Cogent Hire. But repairers who’ve been stung by CHCs in the past shouldn’t be too worried. The reason NBRA have chosen to partner with Cogent Hire, is that they’re a company who genuinely does credit hire differently. Executive Director Martyn Rowley explains:
“At NBRA, we are committed to fostering partnerships that bring genuine value to our members. Cogent Hire stood out to us not only for their innovative approach but also for their unwavering dedication to fair and transparent practices. As the automotive industry evolves, especially with the rise of electric vehicles, it’s crucial to collaborate with partners who share our vision for integrity and excellence. We believe that our alliance with Cogent Hire will not only benefit our members but also set a high standard for the industry as a whole.”
Cogent Hire is a different kind of CHC. One that values transparency, collaboration, and commitment. One that’s happy to pay repairers a fair amount for a job well done and share their experience and expertise – as Cogent Hire MD Kirsty McKno explains.
“Repairers haven’t always been treated well in non-fault cases, and we’ve been working hard to change that. As NBRA’s new non-fault partner, we’re going to shake things up. Yes, we’re here to offer advice – especially in the field of EVs – but we’re also here to fight the repairers’ corner. Expectations are growing from customers and policyholders, insurers are raising standards, and we want to help repairers meet these challenges head on. And the best way to meet those expectations with the right people plus the right technology.”
“The whole industry is at a transition point. More drivers are choosing electric vehicles, the EVs on the road are getting older, and we’re all having to learn how to safely handle and repair the one million battery electric vehicles already on the road. Cogent Hire will support repairers in this transition, making sure you have the tech, the tools and the know-how to tap into this expanding market, and ensuring you’re paid fairly for the work you do.”
Cogent Hire will be acting as partners for NBRA, meaning that if an independent repairer needs help on any non-fault case, Cogent Hire can provide advice, help to source replacement vehicles and green parts, assist with estimates and help you keep track of all the paperwork insurers demand.
Kirsty and her team will be joining the NBRA roadshow later in 2024, giving you the chance to see how Cogent Hire really is a different kind of credit hire company.
