A1 ADAS Group has appointed experienced automotive aftermarket professional Ant Lunt as Regional Sales Manager as part of the continued expansion of its equipment division, A1 Diagnostic Solutions.

Lunt brings more than two decades of motor trade experience to the role, including extensive knowledge of wheel alignment, diagnostics, workshop equipment and the technologies increasingly supporting modern ADAS calibration and repair processes. Based in the North West, he will primarily support customers across the North of England, working alongside Ant Yates, who will oversee the South.

The appointment forms part of a wider restructuring of A1’s sales operation as the business continues to expand its equipment supply, installation, training and technical support offering.

Lunt said: “I’ve watched A1’s phenomenal growth with interest over the last few years and wanted to be part of it.

“What has always stood out to me is the trust the business has built with customers. It has an enviable reputation for customer service and for supporting people long after equipment has been installed.

“For me, it’s a real meeting of minds. I’ve always believed that if you look after customers properly, the sales take care of themselves. A1 shares those values.

“Bodyshops have more choice than ever when it comes to diagnostics and ADAS equipment, but choice on its own isn’t always a good thing. One of the biggest challenges I see is businesses investing in equipment that isn’t the right fit for their needs, processes or future plans.

“Customers want honest advice from people who understand how equipment will be used in the real world. That’s exactly the approach A1 takes.”

Adam Molloy, Operations Director at A1 ADAS Group, said: “Ant’s reputation within the industry speaks for itself. He brings a huge amount of experience, technical understanding and customer-focused thinking to the team.

“One of the first things he did after joining us was spend time with customers and visitors on our stand at UKGBE. The feedback we received about him was exceptional and reinforced exactly why we wanted him to join the business.

“As bodyshops look to bring more ADAS calibration and diagnostic capability in-house, making the right investment decisions has never been more important. Our role is to help customers understand their options, choose the right solution for their business and have the technical support behind them to use it with confidence.”

A1 Diagnostic Solutions supplies and installs a wide range of workshop equipment, including ADAS calibration systems, diagnostics, wheel alignment, lifts and tyre equipment, supported by technical training and aftersales support from a team actively involved in day-to-day workshop operations.
