“Following the success of the first Greener Bodyshop Awards ceremony in 2019, the NBRA is pleased to announce we will be holding a second bigger event later this year, which will recognise vehicle body repairers in the industry who are committed to reducing their impact on the environment, by implementing measures for pollution and energy reduction”, says Chris Weeks, Director of the National Body Repair Association (NBRA), the leading trade association for car body repairers in the UK.
The event which will be held at West Midlands Safari Park on Thursday 9 September 2021, will bring together bodyshops and suppliers of green services and products to the industry.
Chris Weeks continues, “There are many ways we can help as an industry to make changes to improve the environment. By using recycled or recyclable materials, low energy consumption products, efficient extraction systems, greener spray booths, better waste management and collection, motion sensitive lighting, and partnering with car companies for electric courtesy cars, we can all make a difference.
“These are just some of the small changes we can implement in the hope of making larger more impactful changes for the future.
“This year we have added more award categories including, the Pride of Bodyshop award, Ethical Treatment of Bodyshops, and Bodyshop Staff Wellbeing awards.
“The NBRA plan to lead the way and begin to award and recognise those who wish to join us on this journey for a cleaner greener future.”
