Easy2Recruit, the agency helping garages and bodyshops hire overseas talent, is aiming to work with more NBRA members in 2024.

Easy2Recruit launched in the UK at last year’s Automechanika Birmingham event in June and was invited by the National Body Repair Association (NBRA) to join as a specialist supplier member shortly afterwards.

The partnership aims to make it easy for the NBRA’s bodyshop members to access Easy2Recruit’s innovative service. Finding and retaining technicians is widely reported amongst the sector’s biggest challenges. Easy2Recruit hopes to help close the skills gap for vehicle repairers.

Easy2Recruit was founded by garage owner Ambi Singh who’d experienced these issues first-hand within his own independent garages, before striking upon the novel idea of overseas hiring whilst visiting family in India.

“We partner with overseas recruitment specialists and help businesses get licenced under the Home Office ‘Skilled Worker’ programme so they can then hire skilled staff,” said Ambi Singh, CEO of Easy2Recruit. “We have access right now to exceptionally talented and committed overseas technicians.”

Easy2Recruit aims to demystify the overseas hiring process – which most customers have not considered before – providing a ‘turn-key’ solution, with support available every step of the way.

“We can help manage the entire hiring and immigration process to simplify everything from sourcing suitable candidates through to facilitating visa applications and relocations,” said Ambi.

“We’re excited about helping NBRA members find new solutions to old problems of skills shortages, which have unfortunately become much more acute since Brexit.”

The benefits for employers go beyond savings on salary costs, though these can be significant. High skills levels are more readily available and those looking to move can be expected to bring not only a strong work ethic but also long-term commitment.
