Industry Insights Limited is delighted to announce that it has wholly acquired Trend Tracker Limited.

The deal will see a complete transfer of Trend Tracker, a company that undertakes comprehensive reporting and analysis for the UK Vehicle Body Repair and Motor Insurance Markets, to Industry Insights.

Trend Tracker Limited was initially formed in 2003 by experienced research and market specialists as a company that was dedicated to providing accurate and informed automotive industry research.  Since 2003, Trend Tracker has produced ‘The Future of the UK Car Body Repair Market’ report, which is not only well established, but is renowned as the most credible and thorough research for this sector.

This acquisition provides the platform for Trend Tracker to now add to the success of ‘The Future of the UK Vehicle Repair Market’ with critical analysis across a range of market trends.

Steve Thompson, Director of Industry Insights explains the rationale behind the acquisition: “Having worked in conjunction with Trend Tracker since Mark Bull took over the company several years ago, we saw this as a fantastic opportunity to broaden our offering to the vehicle repair and insurance markets. Mark saw Industry Insights as the natural home for Trend Tracker to continue its progressive approach to critical analysis for the market, that Trend Tracker has delivered over many years, and we wholeheartedly agreed. I am delighted that Paul Sell has joined this exciting new addition to our range of consultancy and claims solutions and will be extensively involved.”

Paul Sell, Associate Director of Industry Insights, added: “Having been a help to Mark in the recent production of ‘The Future of the Car Repair Market’ report, I am excited to now be a part of bringing Trend Tracker into Industry Insights and developing its critical analysis of key market matters.”

Mark Bull, former owner of Trend Tracker and Director of Auto Body Projects Limited concurred: “During my time leading Trend Tracker’s comprehensive research, I’ve been proud to deliver meaningful industry analysis, from which several businesses have made informed strategic decisions.

“However, since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, personal circumstances have caused me to become a little more isolated from certain industry matters, and I therefore feel that Steve and the Industry Insights team are better placed to enhance and develop the next chapter for Trend Tracker, and they’ll do so with my full support, and my blessing.

“Industry Insights has a wealth of market-focused expertise, experience and knowledge that will develop the Trend Tracker market insight further, adding to the solid foundations thus far, I wish them every success in the future.”

Industry Insights will hit the ground running with this new venture as they have a number of immediate plans for Trend Tracker for the forthcoming months, including an in-depth report into electric vehicles and how the exponential growth will impact the motor insurance and vehicle repair markets.
