MG Cannon Commit to Carbon Neutral

MG Cannon are proud to announce that they are now a carbon neutral organisation.

All eight sites within the group’s portfolio have been declared as carbon neutral in accordance with PAS2060.

MG Cannon are already seen as one of the country’s leading repair groups with a commitment
to high-quality repairs and excellent service. Operating from eight sites – six manufacturer approved bodyshops and two Magic cosmetic repair centres, across ten counties, with 39 leading manufacturer brand approvals including Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Groupe PSA, Volvo and Volkswagen Group.

They have always had a passion for the environment and supporting their local communities and have continually invested in energy saving equipment and processes throughout all locations including solar generation at their Plymouth site.

Working in partnership for many years with energy and carbon experts – ECA Business Energy, MG Cannon already have an established energy strategy that includes purchasing 100% renewable electricity, reporting and targeting via an online energy portal and other environmental initiatives.

The process to becoming carbon neutral includes measuring their carbon footprint across all sites, developing a carbon management plan, which will enable the group to reduce their ongoing emissions, and offsetting by purchasing high quality carbon credits supporting internationally recognised projects.

“Group Directors Dan Wareham and Vince Scudder and the team at MG Cannon have always had a strategic approach to energy and the environment and this achievement further demonstrates how they operate and plan to positively drive the business forward, building a strong, sustainable future for their team, business partners and customers.”

“We look forward to working with them in achieving their future sustainability goals.” Added Steve Silverwood – MD ECA Business Energy
