Auto Angels: Redressing the balance between those in the automotive know and those without

By February 28, 2025 No Comments

AutoAngels is a brand-new venture that seeks to redress the balance between those in the
automotive know and those without. For many, garage anxiety is real. Cold sweats when a
knocking is heard from the engine; a clenching at the pit of the stomach possibly
accompanied by a persistent dread that a trip to the garage will be necessary and costly.

AutoAngels produces interactive and entertaining video content to help viewers of all ages
and experiences become engaged with their cars and the automotive industry in a way that
engenders new learning and enhances existing understanding.

AutoAngels is the brainchild of three individuals who have come together to create
something new and unique: Ben Robinson, a multi award-winning media creative and
entrepreneur who has worked on some of Britain’s most iconic TV shows, Louise Baker, a
hands-on mechanic and presenter with a passion for cars and making the trade more
accessible for all, and Carmen Capuano, a TV writer and producer with an ear for a good
story.

This core team is supported by an all-female crew of hands-on mechanics, panel beaters,
paint sprayers and automotive industry experts to ensure that every piece of information
given in an AutoAngels video adheres to best practice within the industry.

For those working in the industry it’s easy to forget that terms such as transmission, traction
control, pistons and big-ends might be unfathomable to many car-owners. Sure, customers
have heard the terms before, but what do they actually mean to them? And more
importantly, what implication does a failure of any of these have on their vehicle, their
safety and their pocket?

Aimed at helping people to avoid costly mistakes and overwhelming trepidation at the
thought of repairs, each episode has a heart-warming human-interest story at its core,
providing entertainment alongside education.

Already supported by industry giants, AutoAngels launches in March 2025 and intends to
build a global brand.

Louise had this to say about the new venture, “AutoAngels embodies empowerment and
commitment. We are redefining stereotypes and showcasing the strength and expertise of
women in a traditionally male-dominated industry. We aim to be a beacon of support and a
reminder that compassion and expertise are genderless.”
