LKQ Annick Jourdenais

The UK’s leading dismantling and recycling specialist LKQ SYNETIQ, has appointed a new Managing Director to help lead the business’ mission of increasing access to sustainable, affordable mobility.

Annick Jourdenais steps into the role at the joint venture from her previous position as Chief Financial Officer at leading UK car parts distributor LKQ Euro Car Parts. She brings more than 12 years of automotive aftermarket experience to the position, to support LKQ SYNETIQ in scaling the delivery of recycled OE car parts to workshops, bodyshops and insurers.

Alongside her new responsibilities, she will continue her European remit as Senior Project Director for the salvage channel at LKQ Europe.

LKQ SYNETIQ is a new joint venture formed this year with LKQ Europe and SYNETIQ Ltd, an IAA company. LKQ Europe is the leading distributor of automotive aftermarket parts for cars, commercial vans and industrial vehicles in Europe. It combines LKQ’s unrivalled distribution reach and data-driven logistics network with SYNETIQ’s market-leading dismantling and recycled OE partsexpertise – approximately 27,000 vehicles dismantled annually across four UK sites in 2024.

Based at LKQ SYNETIQ’s vehicle dismantling plant in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Annick will lead the strategic development and operational execution of LKQ SYNETIQ’s business across Europe.

She’ll be responsible for scaling the business’ recycled OE parts offering, raising awareness of the affordability and sustainability benefits of them, and building confidence in the rigour and standardisation in the recycling process to deliver assured quality. Annick will work alongside Michael Hill, Chief Operations Officer at LKQ SYNETIQ.

Annick Jourdenais, Managing Director of LKQ SYNETIQ, said:

“The automotive repair industry stands at a critical juncture. We need to make vehicle repair more sustainable, more efficient and more affordable while managing the complexity of electric vehicles and rising regulatory requirements.

“My priority is to build the operational capability and strategic partnerships that turn circular economy principles into practical, everyday solutions – delivering real commercial value for workshops and insurers while reducing environmental impact across the repair chain.”

Annick’s experience includes strategic roles within LKQ’s North American operations, working with LKQ Canada’s large-scale vehicle recycling operations. Her experience of how to scale salvage and recycling at pace, while maintaining quality and building customer confidence, will be critical as the joint venture enters its next phase of growth.

Her career also includes leadership positions at Qatari Diar and Alcatel-Lucent , where she led transformation programmes, strengthened commercial operations and built high-performing international teams. A finance specialist by background, she combines strategic insight with a hands-on approach to driving operational excellence and sustainable business performance.

Andy Hamilton, CEO At LKQ Europe, said:

“Annick brings exactly the combination of strategic vision, operational rigour and commercial expertise we need as we scale LKQ SYNETIQ across Europe.

“Working together, we can strengthen our partnerships, expand the reach of recycled OE parts and accelerate the shift towards a more resilient vehicle repair industry. Her leadership will be central to driving this next phase of growth.”
