SYNETIQ, an IAA company and the UK’s leading integrated vehicle salvage and recycling company is delighted to announce its new team within the British Touring Cars Championship. The new team, named “LKQ Euro Car Parts with SYNETIQ,” will be an exciting addition to the BTCC grid, fielding two cars alongside the existing Toyota Gazoo Racing UK effort under the Speedworks banner. This venture expands Speedworks’ presence in the series, running four Toyota Corollas throughout the season.

The team’s driver lineup features seasoned BTCC contender Josh Cook, who brings a wealth of experience and a formidable track record to the newly formed team. Cook, a two-time Independents’ laurel winner, is set to pilot one of the Toyota Corollas with the aim of making a strong championship push in the upcoming season. The team’s second driver will be announced in due course.

Helen Carling, Commercial Director of SYNETIQ, said: “We’re thrilled about the new LKQ Euro Car Parts with SYNETIQ team. Many of our clients and colleagues are huge motorsports fans so it’s a particularly proud moment for us all.”

Colin Cottrell, Marketing Director at LKQ Euro Car Parts added: “This is an exciting new chapter in our BTCC story, and an opportunity to build on everything we’ve learnt and achieved over the last few seasons. There’s a huge amount of passion for motorsport in our business and among our customers, and together with SYNETIQ, we can’t wait to get behind the new team.”

The 2024 British Touring Car Championship gets underway at Donington Park on April 27-28.
