Thirteen years, three sites and a truck fixed at any hour. UK Truck Group joins PRG

UK Truckparts and UK Truckrepairs, which trade together as UK Truck Group, join Precision Repair Group today. The Hoddesdon business John Culora founded in 2013 strengthens the group’s commercial vehicle repair, MOT and ATF testing and on-site fleet maintenance offering, and adds multi-manufacturer truck and trailer parts. It keeps its name, its sites and its management team.

Precision Repair Group (PRG), the group of independent vehicle repair businesses, today welcomes UK Truck Group of Hoddesdon as its ninth business and its third in commercial vehicles. UK Truck Group repairs and services HGVs and LCVs, runs MOT and ATF testing, maintains a customer’s fleet on the customer’s own site, and supplies truck and trailer parts from two parts centres.

John Culora founded the business in 2013, and for over a decade it has traded as an independent truck repairer, a multi-manufacturer parts supplier and an approved Renault Trucks dealership. Today it runs as two companies across three sites. In Hoddesdon, a 24-hour workshop services and repairs HGVs and LCVs, with its own bodyshop and paint facility and an ATF lane that opened in April 2025. In Hatfield, a dedicated team has maintained a customer’s fleet on the customer’s own site since 2017. And in Hoddesdon and Flamstead, two independently run parts centres give customers one-stop truck and trailer parts with same-day delivery.

“We did not buy that to change it. We bought it because it is exactly how we want the whole group to think.”

And nothing changes for UK Truck Group. The names stay on the doors. The workshop, the fleet team and the parts centres stay as they are. John Culora keeps running the business as Managing Director, and customers and suppliers deal with the same people they always have. What changes is what sits behind them: a national group that puts money into people, training, equipment, technology and facilities, and eight other businesses to grow with.

“I’m delighted to announce that we have joined the Precision Repair Group team.

“Through careful consideration, PRG stood out as the obvious partner for us on this next phase of our journey. The synergies between our businesses were clear from the outset and their highly experienced leadership team share our values and vision for the future.

“Everything we have achieved so far has been built on the trust of our clients and our commitment to delivering the highest levels of service. By joining PRG, we gain the backing and resources to continue that commitment while creating new opportunities for growth, expansion and further development of our existing operations.

“It was essential that I stay actively involved after joining the PRG team. This business has been a major part of my life, and I am deeply committed to its long-term growth and success.

“We’re incredibly excited about this new chapter and what it brings for our clients and all involved at UK Truck Group.”

“The addition of UK Truck Group is another important step in strengthening PRG’s commercial vehicle division. It broadens our capabilities across servicing, maintenance, testing, accident repair and parts supply, enabling us to offer an increasingly comprehensive proposition to fleet operators across the UK.

“John started this business in 2013 with a workshop in Hoddesdon and built it on one idea: that a fleet operator should never have to wait. That is why the workshop runs 24 hours, why there is a team based on a customer’s own site, and why two parts centres deliver the same day. We did not acquire this business to change it. We acquired it because it represents exactly the kind of customer-focused approach we want across PRG.

“John will continue to lead UK Truck Group, retaining the identity, culture and expertise that have made the business so successful. Our role is to support that success through investment, shared expertise and the resources to accelerate growth, strengthen capabilities and reach more fleet customers across the UK.

“Welcome, John and the whole UK Truck Group team. Our commercial vehicle division has taken another significant step forward.”

For customers nothing about the service changes. The same workshop answers at three in the morning, the same team looks after the fleet, and the same parts counter delivers the same day. What is new is the group behind it.
