LKQ Academy

LKQ Academy – the award-winning automotive training provider from LKQ UK and Ireland – has launched a new, customisable training service designed to help bodyshops address key operational challenges, including skills shortages, efficiency pressures and changing industry demands.

Unlike standard training programmes, LKQ Academy’s new Bespoke Courses are developed in collaboration with each bodyshop. The process can include site audits, a review of operational data and an assessment of existing working practices, enabling the LKQ Academy’s technical training team to identify priority areas for improvement and design a tailored training programme to address them.

Courses can be adapted to focus on a range of business requirements, including improving workshop utilisation and efficiency, advanced painter development, implementation of sustainable working practices and even apprenticeship or early-career skills development. Training can be delivered at the LKQ

Academy facility in Tamworth or on-site at a customer’s bodyshop, allowing for more focused, small-group sessions.

The offering expands the LKQ Academy’s existing technical training portfolio and supports LKQ’s commitment to be the complete solutions provider for customers, acting as their supportive parter in a changing world by providing practical training solutions tailored to individual needs. The launch reflects LKQ’s ongoing investment in training and support services for all bodyshops of all sizes, helping customers develop their teams and plan for long-term business sustainability, profitability and growth.

Lee Berridge, Head of Technical and Sustainability at LKQ, said:“Bodyshops are navigating a tougher operating environment made all the more difficult by a lack of skilled workers and escalating costs. These Bespoke Courses allow us to work closely with customers to understand their specific challenges and

deliver training that is directly aligned to their business priorities – ensuring they stay relevant in a continually evolving landscape.”

Bodyshops can explore how Bespoke Courses could address their specific challenges, by contacting their LKQ account manager. Find out more about the full range of LKQ Academy training courses at:LkqacademyLKQ Academy
